I saw GBV around this time at Grand Valley State University, Pollard was drinking beer and ranting about a bad review in a major magazine throughout the show, saying he was going to tear him apart, etc. The campus police were standing there not sure what to make of it.

Leslie is at his best when Felix take the singing. Many guitarists could learn from this, not to be to much all over the place. It takes the energy away from the guitarplaying, though they may be good singers like Eric Clapton or Joe Bonansssa. Paul Kossoff did'nt sing, but few played better, ever.

This song is little like Radiohead without the pretense. David Hildago is a sweet-singing genius. So inventive and yet never off-putting or aloof. More times than not, you can dance to it. The violin parts are brilliant.

I watched this on tv in 1970 and it rocked my world. Leslie West’s guitar tone was absolutely the heaviest thing out there. Felix Pappalardi was a tremendous bassist with the voice of an angel. I miss both of them tremendously.

Saw GBV in like 2008...2 1/2 hr show and just energy energy. 1 of 4he best shows id seen Best 5 shows in qny order KISS at Backstage In Houston small 800 seater SPUNK at Fitzgeralds Alice Cooper at the Summit. Went there not really into Alice Cooper left there going WTF GBV Warehouse Live FEAR or RAMONES. or maybe DEAD HORSE

Every once in a while when you seen a band in the 70's,You knew the music but something special happens and you become wrapped up in the whole set.This happened with Mountain in '74 at the Miss.River Festival.An outdoor venue outside of Edwardsville IL.with rolling hills, ideal acoustics and atmosphere.I stood next to the stage and got lost in Felix and Leslie's music.One of those rare magical events.
